A suspenseful and gorgeous film!
Shot using all natural
light, The Revenant is one of the most gorgeous films you will ever see.
Leonardo Dicaprio deserves his first Oscar for his incredibly dedicated
performance, easily the best of his career and Tom Hardy gives an Oscar
worthy performance for his role as the haunting beast John Fitzgerald.
The first act of the film was definitely the most impressive. With
stunning visuals and flawlessly crafted intense action scenes, I felt
like I was watching real footage from the 1820's! Then the vast snowy
wilderness kicked in, the majority of the time it was breathtaking. But
at times The Revenant got a little lost in the wilderness and sometimes
felt a bit repetitive, it's still an unpredictable and suspenseful
adventure with many surprises. It's no doubt one of the years best
films.
